The Avalanche Gambit is a very aggressive and attacking opening where you give up three pawns in exchange for quick development and a weak black king. This opening is very good if you don't mind giving up material for attacking chances, and has lots of cool tactics and ideas inside of it. The moves are 1.e4 e5 2. Bc4 Nf6 3. c3. We are giving up the pawn in order to play d4, attacking the center. If black takes d4, then instead of taking back I would develop with Nf3. If your opponent takes on c3, just Castle giving up even more material! If they have gone this far they will probably take on b2, and you can just play Bxb2. Even though you are down three pawns, Stockfish says that white is winning. White's avalanche of attacks is too much for black to handle. We have ideas of attacking the Knight by playing Re1, and we also have ideas of Bxf7+, if takes, then Qd4+ forks the knight and the bishop. There are also tactics to win the Queen in this opening with Bxf7+. Overall, this opening is not bad and in my opinion is definitely playable, but you CANNOT PLAY PASSIVELY! Every move MUST attack something or else you will lose your advantage, and the avalanche will stop. I hope you try to play the gambit I invented, and I would be thrilled if you shared it with other people.
This is how it goes on the board:
